Here I am for my second post on the blog!
Yes, we’ve been spoiled with three baby showers for Belle! The first was with friends and family on the Island and was hosted by grandma (Kathryn) and Kathleen in November. We got some super fun outfits, and books and some great tips. That last one was especially true of Alison whose card was covered with numbered tips on all sides! (Very helpful!) Then in January Katie and Christy organized a shower for me with a lot of my friends from medicine and Vancouver and surprised me with ‘the cadillac’ of breast pumps. And that is on top of all the goodies we keep getting in the mail and by our friends and family popping over for visits. Wow! Like I said, we’ve been spoiled!
So, this last shower was hosted by nanna Sharon Bell who made it such a special afternoon. Isabelle was fast asleep for most of it, but seemed to love being passed around among her cousins and many, many, many adopted grandmas! Yet again, we were totally spoiled. From cool bath accessories and wipe warmers, to play mats, activity chairs and jolly jumpers, to adorable outfits and warm weather gear to tackle winter in Edmonton, I can’t think of much this little girl doesn’t now have!
Thank you doesn’t seem quite enough, but to all our friends and family, we are so grateful to you!
